It's pretty simple, we require people to search, because we want people to search first and then ask. Because the time it takes to read all the posts here increases. Sorry, but I think responces like that only add to the traffic and makes it harder for anyone to find answers. This is coming from someone new to the forum who finds many posts with similar questions that I have, and then all the responces are "read the manual" or "search first". How does that help?

I'm going to lock this now before it gets out of hand. These arguments happen from time to time, you can search for previous ones if you wish.
Suffice to say rules are rules whether you agree or not, and unless they change please respect them.

It helps because when you see "Read the manual" then you know that you TOO should've read the manual.
