Volume question

(1/1)

Geo242:
Is there any way to set a max volume limit? I don't like the fact that when I turn it all the way up that the volume goes to +6db. I really want it to just stop at 0db.

safetydan:
No there's no way to set a volume limit. The +6 dB maximum volume for your DAP is actually the maximum volume it can output.

Chronon:
Couldn't you compensate by setting an appropriate precut?  Of course it's only a workaround.

LambdaCalculus:
+6 dB... sounds like an iPod to me.

Anyway, I set my precut to 0.0 dB; this was to compensate for the headphones I have (a set of Magnavox MHL1600 headphones), which have pretty powerful output. I can lower the volume down to -23 dB on my iPod and it's still pretty loud.

If your music sounds way to quiet, then try raising the precut.
