Unknown bootloader during install on a e200R

(1/2) > >>

LastDavid:
I have tried to run e200rpatcher.exe from both a Linux (Ubuntu) and Windows (XP) box and either way I get the same message on the player:

Rockbox e200R installer
Version: r15104M-071014
SanDisk Sansa e200

Unknown bootloader
Rockbox installer cannot
continue

Release Hold and
Press any key to shutdown

I got the player off eBay, and it was not in the original box. There was a Rhapsody flyer included, so I have been assuming that I have an e200R. Is there some way to tell for sure?

GodEater:
It should say on the back of the player if it's an R model or not.

LastDavid:
You know, I did look before I posted, but I did not see it then, now I do. It says e280, tiny print. Thanks for the help.

C1u31355:
Sansa sometimes put different backs on the units. I have a E260R that just says E260.

Easy way to tell: does your menu screen include Rhapsody Channels? That's Rhapsody. Also, under Mode, is it MSC/MTP (non-R) or Plays For Sure/Rhapsody (R)?

markys:
That might sound weird, but my E280(R?) has the Rhapsody logo on the back, but doesnt have a "Rhapsody channel" thing. Also, under mode, I have MSC/MTP and not PFS/Rhapsody.

So, in my case, I guess that it is a E280 in a E280R case...
