Can't use SVN on VMwared Ubuntu

I've installed Umbuntu in VMware server and set everything up; internet works.
However, if I enter "svn co svn://svn.rockbox.org/rockbox/trunk rockbox" in the terminal (as instructed by the wiki) it says "could not connect to host svn.rockbox.org - connection refused". I tried running it with sudo, but that doesn't change anything.
Any thoughts why this happens?

What are the results of "ping www.google.com" (in the image, of course)?

set your eithernet setting to NAT (the one in the middle) and see what happens. click the little arrow next to "Ethernet" that is highlighted, if its not highlighted it should be.
