Why can't you search by Track under "A to Z" in the database?

Let's say my friend wants me to play the song "Louie Louie" on my iRiver H10.

If I don't know the artist, why should I have to click "Track" in the database and then scroll through 4,000 songs to find "Louie Louie"?

Wouldn't it be easier to just have "Track" as an option under "A to Z"? Then I could just click "L" and find it quickly.

You should be able to manage this with a custom tagnavi file as described in the Database page in the wiki.

I think this is a sensible thing to include as standard, a patch is at http://www.rockbox.org/tracker/task/7983
