Rockbox Sim Error Message

Hi All,

I'm trying to make a WPS but whilst I'm using the simulator I constantly get the error,

Codec Failure

when playing MP3s, OGGs, etc.

The console output says,

failed to load archos/_temp_codec0.dll
dlopen(archos/_temp_codec0.dll): archos/_temp_codec0.dll: invalid ELF header

Any one got any ideas how I fix this?

This is on Ubuntu Linux if that helps...?

I assume you built the sim yourself ?

I found something on Google once about fixing it... but I can't find what that info anymore.... Grrrr

How did you install the sim?

you need to run "make install" to install the files required for the sim, not extracting a build to the sim folder.
