e200rpatcher

zajacattack:
Hey! For e200rpatcher, does it patch the bootloader AND install the rockbox BL (like sansapatcher)? And, if so, will it move the original firmware to an unused part of the hidden partition?

Boktai1000:
im wondering the same thing, i have a topic open.  does anyone no if there is a reason to upgrade from the manual way to the patcher? would there be any problems doing so if you are already patched?

zajacattack:
OK, if you have patched the BL with the old method, there is no reason to do it with the new method; however, for those who haven't patched the BL yet, the new method is definitely easier.

JdGordon:
The new e200rpatcher only patches the bootloader, you still need to un sansapatcher after it successfully patches the bootloader.

The eventual plan is to possibly incorporate sansapatcher into e200rpatcher.

You can't run sansapatcher on an e200r, because the firmware partition isn't accessible via USB.

e200rpatcher currently just patches the original Sansa bootloader so it accepts firmware upgrades.  You then need to install the Rockbox bootloader and Rockbox itself using the instructions in the wiki.
