E200r Bootloader Patcher

Hello, ive patched 2 e200rs using the old method, the day it was released. Everything is working fine but i have 1 question, is it recommended to overwrite using the new method? Is there any benefits or differences of the files that go on there compared to using the new method and the old one?  I mean my player works just fine, but any performance upgrade or whatever i would gladly take.
