Cuesheet support problem
« on: October 13, 2007, 09:02:02 PM »
Hi everybody,

I got a short question about the cuesheet function on my iriver h120. I tried the manual and the search function but it didn't help me solve the problem.

I somehow can't find out how to use the cuesheet function. I have the cuesheet function turned on (also rebooted) and have these files located in the same directory:

01-artist - album.mp3
00-artist - album.cue

When I now listen to the mp3 file I can not skip any tracks or see track information. I can open the .cue file, I also see the single tracks, but I can not open one of these. This is the information contained in the cue file, I would be happy if someone could tell me what I'm doing wrong.

PERFORMER xxx
TITLE xxx
FILE "01-artist - album.mp3" MP3
  TRACK 01 AUDIO
    TITLE xxx
    PERFORMER xxx
    FLAGS DCP
    INDEX 01 00:00:00
  TRACK 02 AUDIO
   .......

Thanks in advance.

The cue sheet should have the same filename as the music file (except for extension).  Try renaming the cuesheet to: 01-artist - album.cue

Thanks a lot for the quick reply. It works now. I just wanted to note that this is not stated in the manual, maybe someone with access to it could add a sentence to the "cuesheet support" section to clarify that.

Can you file a bug report in the tracker for it?  I'm in a hurry at the moment (have to take my daughter to a birthday party).  Just include some plain text of what needs to be included in the manual and someone can write a patch for the manual.

I'll get to it later if you haven't already.  Thanks!

Are you selecting the .cue or .mp3 file in the file browser?  You should be selecting the mp3 file, which will then cause the matching .cue file to be read and used.
