I know that Rockbox can play NSF and SID files, but is there going to be support for RSN files so that the whole SNES soundtrack for one game can be in one file rather than individual SPC files?

Rockbox is unlikely to ever have RAR support, the license terms aren't well thought of.

There is evidently now a GPLed rar decompresser available:

That's nice, but from their FAQ:

RAR3 support is not scheduled. It would imply problems with the GPL license (RAR3 features a PPM based compression algorithm developed by Dmitry Shkarin plus some code by Eugeny Roshal).
