the Volume REFORM , Some questions about it

<< < (4/4)

Llorean:
The point is, he claimed it's not a simulator, because it didn't meet his definition of "simulator" completely irrelevant of the actual purpose of it (it wasn't invented for WPS design, mind you).

yapper:
I was being generous as I believe English isn't Zivo's first language. It's sometimes hard to express an idea concisely in a foreign language.

Although the simulator may not have been written as a wps design tool, it is promoted in the Wiki here http://www.rockbox.org/twiki/bin/view/Main/RockboxExtras#Simulators as being useful for such a purpose.

I can understand someone's frustration if they spent a long time using it to create a wps, only to find the target behaved differently.

Mikerman:
Been there and done that, adding a customized volume control to my WPS--the issue darn well almost drove me crazy. But I think that many were not aware that the Sim did not behave like the targets as to volume--I posted an inquiry here at the time and a different tag issue was noted and commented upon (and subsequently fixed), but no one noted the Sim/target behavior difference.

How great, though, that the Sim now has been updated in that regard--thanks!

Indeed, but he claims there was a change (the "reform" in the thread title is rather explicit in that term) which never happened. I think it would be better to not rant about some unexpected behaviour but to check it first. Shouldn't have been hard to find out that sim and target didn't match ...
