Are you talking about the image of the USB plug?  That's compiled into the build.  The image is located in the sources at /apps/bitmaps/native/usblogo.resolution.bmp, where resolution is something like 128x37x16.  You need to edit the source to point to a new image or edit the specified image in order to change this -- then compile the modified build.

I guess he's referring to the "do not disconnect" screen the Ipod shows while a usb connection is established. Ipods use Apples disc mode so there is nothing to change about it -- especially not the stuff that's displayed.

Of course!  As a former iPod user I should have thought of that.   ::)

well if you really want to change the "do not disconnect" you can look into ipodwizard which is able to do what you want.

yes, you can change the boot logo, do not disconnect for both disk mode and normal mode for apple os. you will need ipw 1.3 and load the ipod firmware. then, in the images, you will find the boot logos, disk mode and apple os do not disconnect images. The disk mode one, though, has to black and white. simply load in the new images and reflash the firmware. REMEMBER: uninstall the boot loader for rockbox or any boot loader likewise before attempting this!

ps, i have only done the apple os and boot logo changes, i am only assuming that the disk mode one will work...

If he's talking about changing anything related to the Apple firmware, then he should turn to our Great God, Google.

there is no "do not disconnect" icon or any splash for rockbox... it is only on apple firmware and if you want to change it you have to use IPW

That is true.  However, this topic apparently has nothing to do with Rockbox.
