Install instructions not asking for "0781-0720.inf" or "0666-E200.inf"
John Brown:
I had a problem in installing rockbox bootloader (hence title) could you please help me what I did is below :-\
Connect your Sansa in manufacturing mode (turn on hold and then hold down the center button while connecting USB cable). that went ok
Using the wizard, tell Windows to install the drivers from a specific location, and tell it the location that you unzipped e200tool.zip (e.g. C:\e200tool).ok that when ok
Then, tell Windows to install "0781-0720.inf". it does not ask for this it only asks for libusb0.sys, libusb0.dll which is needed for installation
Now, open up a command prompt, enter cd c:\e200tool_dir (where e200tool_dir is where you unzipped e200tool.zip). when i do this it says that it can't find it or some thing like that so i type cd c:\e200tool and it seems to be ok
Now, execute e200tool recover BL_SD_boardSupportSD.rom did that but all it does is install the previous driver
Now, open up a command prompt, enter cd c:\e200tool_dir (where e200tool_dir is where you unzipped e200tool.zip). did that
now, execute e200tool recover BL_SD_boardSupportSD.rom while holding rec on the Sansa until it boots into recovery mode says something about a connection timeout and write error and it does not boot into recovery mode.
LambdaCalculus:
Ummm... okay.
Can I please ask what in the name of Eris are you trying to do, exactly? Because this isn't very clear; did you bork your Sansa again?
You also used a closing tag on the beginning of the list, and left closing tags in your message. And stuffing comments in between instructions is making it confusing to read.
bascule:
Remember, there is a 'preview' button next to the 'post' one ;)
John Brown:
check my modifed post ;)
note: my sansa is not briked ;D
bascule:
Ok, so now it reads better but, like Lambda, I am still not sure exactly what the thread is trying to achieve:
Is it instructions? (In which case put them somewhere on the Wiki)
Is it a record of your success or otherwise with someone else's instuctions? (Then, why?)
Isn't all of this (as far as I understand it at all) superceded by the revised Sansapatcher recently released?
