Sandisk Sansa E270 Europe W/O FM Radio can be enabled with ROCKBOX?

Hi,  I guess because of taxes only the FM-Radiofunction is disabled by firmware for my MP3-Player?

Or does the chip really not exist ?

Can I enable it on my player to use the fm-radio??

afaik some of the sansas sold as models without fm actually has the chip inside, if yours does, rockbox will automatically detect it and you can use it, if rockbox doesn't detect a radio the chip is probably not there.

I got my e280 recently and it doesn't have the chip inside, unfortunately.

i think if you have one that has a chip, you can get it to work if you load the American OF into it.  and yes, rockbox should support it as well.
