Is there a "skip" function?
« on: October 10, 2007, 04:55:54 PM »
Better make all the necessary apologies first, since I'm a "newby".  If I'm posting in the wrong section, please tell me the correct section - I would appreciate it.

Regarding my actual question: when you want to instantly jump ahead x number of seconds or minutes (in a long recorded radio show, for example) by clicking on a button, this is skipping, where x is usually user definable.   Does Rockbox have this function (or does the Sansa E280R have this already)?

You can seek by holding the left or right arrows.

If you know you will want to repeatedly go to a specific location in a long file you can also make a cuesheet.

I didn't know about the cuesheet, that's cool.

Saratoga, I know about "seeking", that's plain old fast forward.

But what about "skipping", where you "click" the button, as on some other players.
