I found that my deleted music files are in a hidden trash file but how do I delete playlists? Do I just reinstall the rockbox software again?

Just delete the playlists you don't want anymore; they're just .m3u (or .3mu8) files.

And what gives with the thread title? Can you change it to something less... how to say... confusing?

This has nothing to do with Installation or Removal of Rockbox, as it's simply file management.
