Database won't Initialize on My Gigabeat F40..Stuck on Building Database

I have had issues with trying to build my database with my F40. The player would find over 6000 entries and would display "building database". However, it would just stay there even after 1 hour . The details on the database would say -1% Progress. I would reboot the player and get a "commit 1/9" on the bootup screen. Any advice on what to do. I have deleted the tcd file which just starts the process all over again. Thanks. Using Oct 8th build.

This usually happens due to some malformed metadata tags in one (or more) of your files.  You can try a binary search tree to find which file is causing problems.
