DOOM..please help
low521:
I have been trying to install/play doom on my ipod nano but have been expierencing nothing but problems. I made a folder called .rockbox, then put a folder inside of that called doom and then inside of the doom folder i put the doom plugin, the doom base wad, doom 1 wad and the freedoom.I have read many of the other forums regarding the same problem but nothing has helped. If some one could please give me a step by step process on what to do, i would be quite greatfull. Also, just for information purposes, rockbox in general is working fine.
Llorean:
If Rockbox was working fine, you already had a .rockbox folder, so why did you say you had to make one?
As well, what instructions are you reading that say you need to put the doom plugin somewhere? Why not try using the instructions in the Rockbox manual or the PluginDoom wiki page?

what i meant was i put the doom folder insde of the .rockbox folder. that had allready existed in the ipod nano. I did try using the instructions from both the wiki page and the rockbox manual page, niether had helped.

i had forgot to mention in my last reply that the doom plugin was moved back to its original position..moving the plugin back to its original plugin did nothing. when i press select on doom it will say welcome to doom then say missing base wad. following that it says plugin returned error. I have downloaded and placed the base wad in a folder called doom, this doom folder is placed inside of the .rockbox folder which contains the folders that are titled(in order):.rockbox, backdrops, codecs, codepages, docs, doom, eqs, icons and so on. hopefully this additional information will help oyu help me.

Your installation still sounds messed up. You shouldn't have a second .rockbox folder inside the root one.
