Using a dock with gigabeat F40

How exactly does Rockbox work with the dock that I got with my gigabeat? Can I still charge it using this? Can I use the Line Out port while It's in the dock? Can I transfer files? Or do I now have a superfluous piece of plastic sitting on my desk? :)

This is my first time replacing any firmware of any sort, and I'm very wary of breaking the thing. If it's truly that stable, however, I'll go for it. :D

Is there any way to disable the 'pause on headphone removal' function when docked?
