How can I read manga on rockbox (iPod Video)?

I have:

• iPod 30GB 5.5g
• No partioning Install via iPodLinux Manager
• Loader 2
• Rockbox Daily Build from 02 October 2007

Is there anyway I could effectively view manga and how? I know there is a jpeg viewer plugin. I've also searched all of the site for manga but unfortunately yielded no results.

You just answered your own question. Scan the pages, save them as JPEGs, and copy them to a folder in your iPod. Navigate to it in Rockbox, and read away.

I can't seem to make it fit the whole screen, I've tried resizing all the images to width 320px but to no gain. Also I have to quit the viewer then select the next image.

Don't know about the size issue, but you can change picture with Select+Right and Select+Left while viewing a picture. (as stated here: http://www.rockbox.org/twiki/bin/view/Main/PluginJpeg)

To follow up on the .jpg idea: I believe that zoom allows you to view the image at 1/1, 1/2, 1/4, 1/8, etc.  Assuming that this is the case (the manual and wiki don't explicitly state this), I would try to resize the images to a convenient multiple of your LCD's resolution and then zoom to a comfortable setting and pan across the image to read it.

Use a high resolution so you won't lose details. Zoom in, then pan around by pressing the click wheel.

The choice is up to you as to how high a resolution you want.
