Installation using rbutilqt-1.0.1

(1/1)

flacstax:
Hello, I am trying to install RockBox via rbutilqt-1.0.1 via my Mac. I wasn't able to find this in the manual or anywhere posted previously after searching. If someone could kindly point me to the appropriate article, if I have overlooked it, it would be appreciated.

I ran the program and it did not autodetect my 5.5 gen iPod 80 GB, so I manually selected it. For the path, I manually entered /Volumes/IPOD/ where 'IPOD' is the iPod's volume name.

I hit complete installation and when the bootloader tried to install, it gave me a message that it is a mac formatted iPod, which cannot be used, etc. Obviously it has to be FAT32. Would formatting it via Disk Utility and then running rbutilqt solve the problem? I wanted to check before I formatted this thing.

Thanks for any help ...
