video button on the main menu??? help!!

hey..
i am wondering if anybody knows how to add a button onto the main menu.... for exmple a videos button?? i have photoshoped a picture to explain how i would like it to look

You can't do that.

Unless you compile yourself. And search the forums first, this question has been asked recently.

I can compile myself I use vmware, I was just wondering if anybody knows how to do it and can guide me through the steps

No problem, just remember that this won't work with the stardict patch, you're gonna have to modify the files yourself.

Have 3 questions :
the folder on my player looks like this:

how can I make the icon not to be this orange rectangle , but to be like video files icon
and
how to move the menu item up in the menu, just after the "Files"
and
How to create one more menu item that will point to "/Pictures" folder with icon like all the pictures

To change the icon, just change the last argument to MENUITEM_RETURN value. (these are defined in gui/icon.h)

searched and in some other files, but nothing
What is it Icon_???   ?
