Problem with Gigabeat recharging.
« on: October 02, 2007, 12:16:48 PM »
I just installed Rockbox the other day, and now i can't charge by Gigabeat f20 on the cradle, or directly with the charger.  I have tried disabling the "charge from USB" feature to no avail.  Any help would be appreciated.

When your gigabeat is turned off, and you plug in the adapter, you don't see the charging symbol on the screen? Rockbox isn't running when your player is turned off, so we can't prevent charging there.

True enough...the charging symbol does come on but after 12 hours, the battery was still dead, both with and without the cradle.  It charges fine through the USB.  I assumed it was Rockbox because i didn't have this issue before.

Well the easy test is "Remove rockbox and see if it still has the problem", but since Rockbox isn't running I would say it's much more likely that you've experienced some sort of hardware failure.

Have you tried another power source? (same plug, voltage and polarity) Your AC adaptor might be bad.
