Can't load rockbox.mi4...

Please, I need some help!

I followed the instructions in the manual (how to install), but when I start my e280, it show these mensages:

Can't load rockbox.mi4...
Can't load rockbox.e200

What I need to do now?

This means that you did not properly extract rockbox.zip onto your player. Where is the file rockbox.mi4 located on your player?

It is in the rockbox folder: F:\rockbox

And it belongs in the folder .rockbox, which is what you get if you simply extract the .zip directly to the player.

Yes, I did it. I unziped the file direct to the sansa.

If you unzip it directly using a program that preserves folder structure properly, you will have a folder .rockbox, and in that folder will be rockbox.mi4.

The name of the folder is ".rockbox"? My sansa shows only "rockbox". Is it a problem?
The IZARC software extract the folder without the ".".
I just tried to insert the point and the system did not allow. Do you know something about it?

When I tried to modified the folder's name, including the "." before rocksbox, the windows show "you must type a file name".

1) Please do not double post, read our forum guidelines.
2) Try using a better extraction program, or manually renaming it via the command prompt. The name MUST be exactly right, and we can't be responsible for the fact that you chose software that renames it, but other people have reported such problems with IZARC. Perhaps you should report to them the bug in their software.

I wil try another software, but it seems to be more a windows problem then a IZARC one. I tryed to modified manually, but the system showed "you must type a file name". Any another idea?

Why not follow our instructions to use another program FIRST, and if those don't work then come back? We've told you what to do, and instead of following those instructions you're assuming they won't work.

I assure you, 7-zip will work in windows.

Only one detail: I followed your instructions. In a previews post you instructed to try modified manually and I just did it and reported to you.

I said manually renaming it via the command prompt. NOT right clicking and choosing to rename.
