Rockbox on a MicroSD?
(1/1)
sumasage:
I did a search but didnt find any topic on this so i'll ask :)
I was able to install Rockbox on my e250 but since the USB transfer is not supported yet i have no way to transfer more music into it. I read there are a few ways to switch back and forth between the original firmware and Rockbox but i am unable to get it to work. Help???
I have a 64MB MicroSD card that i want to put Rockbox firmware on there. The intention here is when i put in the MicroSD card in the device will boot from Rockbox. When i want to boot from the original firmware (to transfer music), i just take out the MicroSD card. Are there anyway to accomplish this?
thanks for any help in advance.

No, unless you code support for this.

If you have Rockbox installed correctly on your Sansa, you should be able to boot the original firmware by holding the left button as the device boots up or by turning off the Sansa and then plugging it into your computer (it will detect the USB connection and power on and boot to the original firmware).
If your Sansa boots Rockbox fine but freezes when you try to boot the original firmware you may be experiencing a known bug that has been previously discussed on this forum. You will need to re-install the bootloader using sansapatcher v0.2. The current bootloader is broken for some users (I believe the developers are working on tracking down the precise issue and fixing it).
