Can't run Sansapatcher

(1/1)

jagdriver:
I just installed Rockbox, but my Windows PC doesn't recognize the Sansa as being connected. So I thought I'd boot back to the org formware. Surprise! It doesn't dual-boot.

So I thought I'd run the Sansapatcher per the other thread in this forum. Surprise! Sansapatcher can't "see" the Sansa.

Now what?

jagdriver:
OK, I've booted it standard "Repair" mode, copied over a SANSA.FMT file to it, then it reformated after I detached it from the PC.

Probably not a good idea...now the Rockbox firmware still wants to load, but can't find its own components.

I'm guessing the next step is to use the Sansa utility that checks for and loads new firmware.

What's yours?

Please read the other threads before making a new one. You could have saved yourself some trouble and time. If you can get back into recovery mode, you simply have to drag a .mi4 file there to restore the original firmware.
