A few USB stack questions
(1/1)
gnu:
Note: this is not a question on the progress of the USB stack (which is forbidden by the forum rules), just general questions:
1. What exactly should the USB do? Should it provide a connection to a computer, so you can copy your music to it without having to enter the OF? Or should it be USB OTG, so you can use USB sticks and cameras without a computer?
2. From the commits to the SVN, it seems to me only PP targets are supported. Is this true?

First one then maybe the other.

They are the only current targets that need it. Coldfires etc are hardware USB and have worked perfectly in Rockbox since the beginning, although I guess the stack could be extended eventually to do USB on the go for e.g. the H300

The Gigabeat S also needs a working USB stack in rockbox to be useful. Luckily the portalplayer USB code was based on the i.mx31 datasheet which is the CPU of the Gigabeta S.
