Any word on C200+ (V2)?

(1/2) > >>

AesirX:
I bought a C240 V1 yesterday, loaded Rockbox onto it, and so far am very impressed  ;) (Used to use Rockbox on My JBR10, Good times  :P).

Anyway, I'm considering returning it for a C250+ (AKA V2). As far as I know, the only difference is the V2 supports MicroSDHC and Audible books, and I can't find anything that tells me if the hardware is the same or not (very little info on ABI and the Sansa forums). Does anyone have any idea if Rockbox is booting on V2? I could be the guinea pig here, if need be.

Also, any word on card support in Rockbox? Again, if anyone needs a guinea pig, I could help. I'm mildly competent at C...

EDIT: Turns out the V2 has a different processor (no idea what that actually means).

alinasept:
you were sucessful in downloading rockbox on c240?
i have a c240 also and i cant seem to get the boatloader to  recognize it. could  you explain what you did? maybe Im doing something wrong.

Llorean:
"Sansapatcher" is NOT the bootloader. Please use appropriate terms in our forums.

Bagder:
c250 is not by default a "v2". Lots of people use the c250 with rockbox fine.

In fact, nobody knows much about the claimed v2 model.

AesirX:
I know the package claims that it has MicroSDHC, AudibleReady, and that there is also a "new processor". Also MSC mode requires a bit of a workaround (http://forums.sandisk.com/sansa/board/message?board.id=c200&thread.id=620). (All info gleamed from the Sandisk forums, may or may not be true).

If card support were implemented in Rockbox, it would probably be SDHC, per the E200 series, correct? Maybe I really couldn't care less about V2... Although since I plan on ordering the C250 from Amazon, the version may be a total crapshoot.
