Issues With Updating Songs (Ipod 5G 30GB)

Hi, pleaee bare with me as i have only had rockbox for 2 days now.
Ok so i went to update the existing song libary on the ipod using winamp and the Songs that i tryed to sync dont seem to show in rockbox.... so then i tryed to update the ipod using the apple os and the songs showed in the apple os but not rockbox.... sorry this may be a silly scenario but how do i get them to show in rockbox.....??

Try using the Database function.

Well have you initialised the database yet ?

um but that do you mean search the hard drive for songs, yes i have and ive been playing music for 2 days now through rockbox, its just that when i update the libary on the ipod the new songs dont show, also in winamp when i search through the new songs i have synced to the ipod (that work in the apple OS) the are there ... rockbox just does not show them..............
?

When I say "initialise the database" I mean precisely that. It's a subject covered in the manual.

When you add new tunes to your iPod with iTunes, you will need to make sure your database is updated (again covered in the manual), or the new songs will not show up.

There's an option to automatically update the database (when new songs are loaded) that is probably what you are looking for...
