Don't worry, it was a small error and not too important.  Let's forget about it.

We would prefer to do it here so that if anyone else has the same problem in the future they can benefit too.

OK :)  If you go to http://www.rockbox.org/tw...abeat_Recovery_Procedures can you say exactly what step is giving you a problem?  Let's get these steps completed first, and if there is still a problem after that kkurbjun can help you with any additional steps.

kekkuz:
ok i did it all,i opened my f40 i did all of the instruction...on the link, but when it say to copy the system folder form window explorer to gigabeat i don't understand, cause i don't have the original slftware and if i go in window explorer i get only f:gigabeat and i don't think is right to copy the same folder where exist already.....i tried to put rockbox but it doesn't work,i think that when i formatted it with windows a deleted system folders and now i don't have it original ... excuse me for this problem but i don't know really what to do

kkurbjun:
use the GBSYSTEM folder included in the link at the bottom of the recovery procedure's page.  There is a zip file there that you will need to extract.  You can either extract it to a temporary folder and copy it to your player, or you can extract it directly to your player.  Have you gotten your gigabeat to show up in "My Computer" or windows explorer yet?

and don't forget to copy the bootloader FWIMG01.DAT as well, which is not included in the zip.

My friends, I format my F40 again in FAT32, I made all the job of recovery, not it is different, it switch without error but when is beginning it say that it don't get the firmware... I putted the file GBSYSTEM and also the FWIMG01.DAT

Now what have I to do? Thanks a lot ;)
