sansac250 database wont build

it says building database 828 found (when i only have 280 songs) and then it wont even build, i left it for 10 hours and still nothing, plus my player turns off automatically, but once i left it on for 3 hours by just randomly clicking buttons to keep it on and still nothing

Do you have songs in the Recycle Bin?  If so the database will find them and attempt to index them.
