You sound like rockboxer11 ;)

Starting at http://forums.rockbox.org/index.php?topic=12502.msg98796#msg98796
and reading that post, and two posts below it should help.  Directions can be found at http://www.rockbox.org/twiki/bin/view/Main/WebHome?topic=SansaE200RInstallation however, you MUST use Linux to do the bootloader patching.

No, you can do it in Windows. I have a working copy of e200tool, and I successfully used it to get Rockbox with Windows. I will post directions if you want, but you ABSOLUTELY must know what you're doing, especially with drivers. If you're a beginner, I would wait until an easier method comes out.

I figure having those directions posted in the wiki would be a good thing either way...

OK, I can type them out and upload them here. If one of the devs is willing to put it on the wiki, then great!

Why can't you put them on the wiki? The whole point of having a wiki is that it's openly editable.

I tried to edit the e200RInstallation page, and it wouldn't let me. Also, I don't have a place to upload some of the necessary files (e.g. e200tool for Windows, drivers).

You can upload to the wiki. And if it didn't let you, perhaps you should read what the error message is, and come to IRC and find out why you're having problems...

Finished, it's here (http://www.rockbox.org/twiki/bin/view/Main/SansaE200RBootloaderPatching#Bootloader_Patching_in_Windows). It's kind of rough (my first draft), so you are welcome to edit it.
