Charging during use after eject

(1/2) > >>

DeFKnoL:
Hello all, I just put Rockbox on my iPod Video (5.5 gen) 80GB and I love it!   Great job guys.

One difference I noticed that I wanted to comment on.  With the Apple Firmware, after I sync the iPod and all, I can simply run the command "eject /mnt/ipod" and the iPod would see that it is no longer mounted and would give me back the interface.  While the unit was still plugged into the USB port, I could play music do videos, etc. and not worry about the battery running down since it was still charging.

With Rockbox, I just get a big check mark requiring me to reboot it  Of course when it reboots, it sees that it is connected to USB again and goes into the "do not disturb" mode.

Is there any way to use Rockbox on the ipod while it is still charging via USB (as with the firmware)?

Thanks

Hold down MENU as you plug in the cable. You may have to hold it for a bit until it registers.

GodEater:
there is no need to hold it for ages after you've plugged it in anymore. That bug was fixed weeks ago.

LambdaCalculus:
Oh yeah, I forgot about that.  :)

DeFKnoL:
Thanks, that works great!  Anyway, I can put that in a config file to make it a default behavior?
