Archos JBR V2 -- Help...mp3s not playing...just sits at 0:00

I have been having some problems with my power jack connection on my JBR.  I took it apart today and reflowed the solder around the DC input and cleaned some contacts.  After putting it back together the power issues seem to be resolved.  Everything powers up and I can navigate all the menus and view all my music (USB mode works perfectly too).  However, when I try to play a file, it just sits there at 0:00.  I can seek into the file, but it still never plays.  Has anyone encountered anything like this before?  Any tips would be appreciated.

Are you using the latest build?

No I believe it's version 2.4 (but I haven't had any issues with it before though so never had any reason to upgrade).  I'll try updating, thx.  Is this a known problem that would be fixed in a more recent build?

You do realize that v2.4 is like four years old...

Well I tried upgrading to the 2.5 and current builds, and both just sit there at 0:00.  I also get the same behavior when trying to record (the counter never advances and nothing records).  Does anyone know if there is something on the PCB specifically to look at that performs this function?

I think this is a long shot, but have you tried resetting the configuration?
