Codec Failure for audio Help!

(1/2) > >>

amlaero:
I have a 5g 30gb ipod video
I have a old version of rockbox (february) and audio works fine.

But in the current build it says Codec Failure and keeps flashing it. Also my plugins wont work.

Plz help

bluebrother:
you didn't update correctly -- you need to make sure to overwrite all files in the .rockbox folder.

pixelma:
You probably have a "rockbox.ipod" file in the root of your Ipod.

The correct place for it is now inside the .rockbox folder and the official build zips come with the correct file stucture - you should delete the one that's outside and unzip the build directly to your Ipod. I think you also need to update your bootloader for that to work correctly if yours is as old as your Rockbox version. It's basically the same as installing a new bootloader as described in the manual (see left hand side menu).

"Plz" is not an english word and you agreed not to use these when registering in the forums...

amlaero:
is there a way to get the new rockbox bootloader for my iPL Loader 2.4?

linuxstb:
IPL Loader 2.4 _is_ the bootloader - you should update that to the latest version of Loader2, which should load Rockbox fine.
