attempt to build a real quake 1 and 2 doom wad.

hello, I have fallen in love with the quake series recently and have played the quake doom wads......they sucked.  They didnt follow the game and the sprites looked bad! I will fix that so all of you can enjoy a free and as quake like as possible game! I am very good artist and have no trouble building sprites! i know of programs that can copy textures and maps into doom formats and i will use them.  I have started on grunt and the hellnights.  If you have any reconmendations i will be glad to listen to.  Please send me some pictures of the game characters so i can portray them as accurately as possible.  REMEBER this is a DOOM WAD! so don't say it's not possible!

p.s. sorry to write the essay!

Also dont say im some dumb kid thats obsest with games! lots of the people that use rockbox are kids, and they like video games! so it's not in the best intrest of me but in my friends, and the majority of rockbox users! I will asure you ipod linux sucks for games and is much harder to use.  If there were more games i am absolutely sure that you will have twice as many users. How do I know this? Becusae i am a 13 yearold kid! And if 50 people have the same views as me then i see no problem in trying this! rockbox is about challenges and this is what im about to undertake!!!!!!!!

Fine, do whatever you want. But since these forums are for Rockbox, and not Doom modding, go on Google and find some Doom mod communities. Doom modding is off-topic here.

I wonder how long before Llorean comes down and sees this...  :)

Building a Doom wad has NOTHING to do with Rockbox. Go to a Doom community. Just like composing a song has nothing to do with Rockbox, we just play songs, and we just play Doom wads.

Please do not post something like this again.

Edit: And, I'd already seen it, I was just typing a response before locking instead of the other way around. I decided to trim a good bit of my response though, I had a good bit on "Rockbox is made for the developers, not to attract more users, so please don't try to claim something should be done specifically for that process. As well please don't talk about the 'majority' of Rockbox users without some actual evidence" etc, etc, but I lecture often enough on this that a search should reveal it.
