hey on the new news i guess on the main page of rockbox, it says ipod nano 1st and 2nd gen supported, does that mean i can put rockbox on my 2nd gen nano now??????

Febs:
No, it doesn't say that.  It says that the iPod 2nd generation is supported, not the 2nd generation Nano.  And it also says this:

--- Quote ---Rockbox is an open source firmware for mp3 players, written from scratch. It runs on a wide range of players:

    * Apple: 1st through 5.5th generation iPod, iPod Mini and 1st generation iPod Nano
(not the Shuffle, 2nd/3rd gen Nano, Classic or Touch)
--- End quote ---

thunderstruck540:
blast your right, i thought it had nano in there that sucks! are they ever going to get the 2nd gen nano on anytime soon, if not im just going to get me a 3rd gen nanos, they have video.

krazykit:
It'll happen when someone with the hardware and know-how gets the port really going.  As it is, don't hold your breath; it's probably not gonna be soon.

GodEater:
And for definitions of "soon"... well...

The Nano 2G has been out since, what, last September? And no-one has done any work on it at all yet.
