Bricked my player?

I have installed rockbox per the instructions. everything seemed to be ok but after running the sansa patcher the screen said writting. I waited for a while and unplugged it. I immediately got the rockbox menu screen but the player didn't reboot. when I unplugged ithe usb the player wouldn't turn off. I had to take the battery out, now it won't turn on without plugging in the usb cable. I can get it into recovery mode but don't know what to do once I get there. Can anyone help me?
