Ipod Doesnt Turn ON
« on: September 22, 2007, 11:27:25 AM »
I've read some of the similar topics and i still cant get it to work. I've left my ipod charging for 2 days in 2 different chargers (computer and wall) and i know that my charger didnt blow my ipod. I also have tried to reboot using the hold switch and menu select for 45 seconds. Ohh yeah i have a 30gb video.

thanks in advance

alex

This is when I do my "resetting the battery" technique that everyone here critizes me for.

Open the player, disconnect the battery, reconnect the battery, and turn it on.

We "critize" you for that because it is unneeded.  A restart is all that is needed.  And if the battery is dead, it won't magically recharge by you removing it.

Yes, we criticize removing the battery because it's unnecessary and provides you good opportunity to accidentally damage your battery, its cables, or the inside of your iPod. If the iPod is not physically damaged, the hold switch then menu+select will reboot it. If it doesn't work for you, it means you aren't holding your fingers steady enough, or are in some manner not doing it right.
