Trying to Use a simulator to fix a WPS
« on: September 22, 2007, 05:26:55 AM »
I'm trying to make the Rockriver WPS (from http://www.rockbox-themes.org/index.php?res=220x176x16) work on current builds.

I downloaded the H300 sim from rasher's pages and have tried the '--debugwps' option but I don't seem to get any output, I've looked for files and can't see any (I did a screen dump to test and that works). I'm on WinXP and tried the sdl.dll in the same dir as the .exe and c:\windiws\system32\. I do have various virus checkers/firewalls/spyware tools etc but they are all set to prompt.

Also the --help option did nothing (just returns the command prompt)

I'm sure I'm missing something completely obvious but I have no idea what it is - any advice?

I use the following in my debug.cmd file:
Code: [Select]
del Debugwps.txt /F
rockboxui.exe --background --debugwps > Debugwps.txt 2>&1

Then you can open the resulting Debugwps.txt file in notepad to check it...
