Song skips halfway through

Im using a ipod 5.5g 80gb r14747. The problem is that there are times that when I'm listening to the song, without even touching the controls, it skips to the next one. I just want to know if such a problem exist for others and found solutions.

Does this problem also appear when playing the files on the PC?

not at all. the files/songs themselves work perfectly fine. atm i am considering updating my build to see if it fixes it.
