installing ipodpatcher

(1/1)

John:
I am trying to install Rockbox onto an iPod shuffle which I think is a difficult iPod to use with Linux(Ubuntu)
I have installed Rockbox on the iPod and can see 17 files listed in the file browser but I am running into problems with ipodpatcher.
Here is the output when I try and run ipodpatcher

john@john-desktop:~$ chmod =x ipodpatcher
john@john-desktop:~$ ./ipodpatcher

John

linuxstb:
Rockbox only runs on the devices listed on the front page - the Shuffle isn't one of them.

John:
Thank you for clarifying that. I won't waste more time and will get another MP3 player
