Can't boot the original Rapsody firmware for a E280R
« on: September 20, 2007, 04:34:31 PM »
I managed to install latest Rockbox today, but now I can't boot my Sandisk firmware anymore :(

I start it by pressing the left + power and it says rapsody...found & rapsody key used, after that the screen fades to white and than black. Wheel stays on all the time.

Any ideas what could be wrong?

Thanks.

Apparently there's another bootloader that loads the original firmware by default that works fine. I didn't get a chance to try uploading it.

Is this a general problem with Rhapsody version of the player? If you follow the official guide you will end up with a device that boots Rockbox and will not boot the original firmware anymore.

Has anybody been able to come up with a fully functional player JUST by following the official guidelines?

PS: I tried the reversible BL and it didn't work for me...player was just stuck with the Sansa screen and it didn't boot any of the firmwares :(
