Thank You for your continued support and contributions!
When I run Sansapatcher I get this message.[err] no e200s found, aborting[err] please connect your sansa and ensure it is in ums mode[err] please refer to the Rockbox manual if you continue to have problems.- I am running Windows XP- I have administrater rights- I have the .rockbox folder on my sansa- My sansa is in UMS mode.- and yes my sansa IS connected to the computer.
Just a clarification. UMS is MSC, MSC is UMS. Same thing, different letter combos.
'UMS'? For the e200 series(not R) there is an 'MSC' and 'MTP'. When did you buy it and exactly what model is it(e250, e260, etc.)? If it is a choice, 'MSC' should be the mode you put your sansa in.Also, make sure that when you attempt this, do NOT have the sansa open in a folder(using windows explorer) and do NOT have anything else running(other than your basic background applications that are pretty much always running). My first attempt at running the sansapatcher did not end well, and those were two things I did and then ended up with an error and a useless mp3 player(had to reinstall factory firmware). So to avoid any other problems make sure you follow those two simple rules and also try the other version of the sansapatcher. And make sure you player is in the right mode. I'm not sure why it would say 'UMS' when the actual sansa mp3 player clearly shows two modes that are 'MSC' and 'MTP'. Maybe they changed it in a newer or older version of the player, but i doubt it.
Goggles, I am not allowed to give you the link to the sansapatcher from Cpchan... Â So I'll simply ask you, are you sure you have the newest version of the sansapatcher? Â For some reason right now(and last night) the RockBox site won't load for me. Â I would have linked you to that version of the sansapatcher, but with the site not loading, I can't get the link. Â Also, are you 100% that the drivers for the sansa are installed? Â I have had a couple situations on several computers that I plug my sansa into and so I've had to install the drivers more than once. Â So when you plug the sansa in and it is in 'MSC'(UMS) does the computer itself recognize the sansa? Â So you can open up 'My Computer' and see your 'Sansa e2##' listed under 'Devices with removable storage'.If it is showing up there and you can browse your sansa, and the sansapatcher still won't work, then I don't know what else to tell you.
sansapatcher is here (pick your OS' version)http://download.rockbox.org/bootloader/sandisk-sansa/e200/(the regular www.rockbox.org site has HW-related problems atm)

And I did ask about partition types, as that's pretty vital information for sansapatcher to do right.
