Sansapatcher not working

Also, make sure that when you attempt this, do NOT have the sansa open in a folder(using windows explorer) and do NOT have anything else running(other than your basic background applications that are pretty much always running). My first attempt at running the sansapatcher did not end well, and those were two things I did and then ended up with an error and a useless mp3 player(had to reinstall factory firmware). So to avoid any other problems make sure you follow those two simple rules and also try the other version of the sansapatcher. And make sure you player is in the right mode. I'm not sure why it would say 'UMS' when the actual sansa mp3 player clearly shows two modes that are 'MSC' and 'MTP'. Maybe they changed it in a newer or older version of the player, but i doubt it.

no, still not working
Bagder:
any chance you can check and show us what partition types your two partitions on the sansa are using?
I don't know how to get that in windows, but fdisk -l on linux would

Goggles, I am not allowed to give you the link to the sansapatcher from Cpchan... Â So I'll simply ask you, are you sure you have the newest version of the sansapatcher? Â For some reason right now(and last night) the RockBox site won't load for me. Â I would have linked you to that version of the sansapatcher, but with the site not loading, I can't get the link. Â
Also, are you 100% that the drivers for the sansa are installed? Â I have had a couple situations on several computers that I plug my sansa into and so I've had to install the drivers more than once. Â So when you plug the sansa in and it is in 'MSC'(UMS) does the computer itself recognize the sansa? Â So you can open up 'My Computer' and see your 'Sansa e2##' listed under 'Devices with removable storage'.
If it is showing up there and you can browse your sansa, and the sansapatcher still won't work, then I don't know what else to tell you.
Bagder:
sansapatcher is here (pick your OS' version)
http://download.rockbox.org/bootloader/sandisk-sansa/e200/
(the regular www.rockbox.org site has HW-related problems atm)

When I plug it in in MSC mode, my browser shows two drives, one empty one with 0kbs of space, and one named H:\ which is where all my data is.
