stop playback after each song

(1/1)

nlehman:
Is there a way to have my gigabeat stop playing at the end of a song and not go to the next song in the directory?  I don't want it to repeat, shiffle, just stop.  I want to have to move to the next song to play it or for it to go bcak to the directory.

Thanks, Ed

Febs:
If you start playback by pressing "Select," Rockbox will automatically create a playlist of all of the files in that directory.  However, if you start playback by inserting a single song into a playlist, Rockbox will play that song and then stop.  To insert a single song into a playlist, follow the instructions in this section of the Rockbox Manual: http://download.rockbox.org/manual/rockbox-gigabeatf/rockbox-buildch4.html#x7-610004.4.3

nlehman:
thanks for the reply.  I take it then that there is no way to do it by just playing files?

Febs:
There's nothing hard about what I suggested.  Just hold the Select button for a second, and then press it quickly twice and you're all set.

MU4L:
Yep, that's about the only way to do it, Ed  :). It looks harder (to carry out Febs' suggestion) in writing than it actually is.

I'm just curious though; why do you want to stop playback after each song?
