Sandisk e260r & FILES
« on: September 16, 2007, 01:46:26 PM »
On my e260r player and I'm browsing the player, when I go to "FILES", there is no directory for the music. If I go to "ROOT", it starts playing songs.  Am I doing something wrong?

The database contains all the songs.

Thanks,

Ray

You don't need to put the files in a specific folder. And what "root" are you referring to? If you created a root playlist (which would be called "root.m3u8") this could be your case: it's not a folder, and by "running" a playlist playback starts. Or are your referring to something different?

Try changing the File View to "All" or "Supported", because I think your current seting is "Playlists".
And have a look at the manual.

The 'music' folder on the E200R series has the hidden attribute set, and thus won't display in the Files list unless you set the mode to All.  Note: if you remove the hidden attribute and boot into an original Sansa firmware, it will replace it.
