can't uninstall rockbox on ipod mini 1g

(1/1)

crasah:
i installed rockbox on my ipod mini 1g, but i want to uninstall it now, in the rockbox manual for ipod mini, it says that i can uninstall rockbox by simply deleting the .rockbox file and folder and then reseting my ipod, and i done it exactly but now my ipod opens and after the apple logo rockbox loading screen appears and after it says loading original firmware, it just restarts, i tried to reset and putting into disk mode but nothing changed... help please..

thanks..

kewvention:
i believe you misread. you have to run ipodpatcher again, and instead of pressiing "f" for installing the bootloader, you have to press "u" instead. this will remove the rockbox bootloader off you ipod. then you can delete the .rockbox folder off your ipod.

crasah:
it says "If you wish to clean up your disk, you may also wish to delete the .rockbox folder
and its contents. Turn the Ipod off. Turn the player back on and the original Ipod
software will load." in the manual but i guess you're right, i should do it after the bootloader process. anyway, i tried to restore the ipod with the ipod updater and it worked, but thanks for your answer...

kewvention:
aha, you didnt misread, but you missed a section then. deleting the folder just deletes the firmware. but you had to run ipodpacther to uninstall. glad it worked the other way still.
