Themes troubles

I have downloaded a few themes from http://www.rockbox-themes.org/index.php?res=320x240x16 but when trying them on my ipod video they don't look the same as on the page.
On my ipod all it comes up with is white text that tell you the song artist and year in the top left corner and has a progress bar below this. It only uses half the screen. I know this is not a big problem and it is probably very hard to understand what i am trying to say. But my question is how do i make my ipod look like they do on http://www.rockbox-themes.org/index.php?res=320x240x16

Do the themes you want to use require a custom build? Please read the notes to the theme files carefully ... also, make sure you have the fonts package installed.
