Lyrics on rockbox and album art

Is there a way to display lyrics on your sansa in the wps?
Also does rockbox support album art linking (files in a folder and pic is in the same folder)? Is there a way to let mp3/wma files have 2 files embedded eg. bmp and jpeg (one for rockbox and one for the original fimware, and work with both?)

no. IIRC there is a plugin in the tracker, but it's not possible to display output from a plugin in the wps.

Rockbox does not support embedded album art. You can put it in the tags if the OF supports this.

There is a patch in the tracker that allows album art. It does not use embedded images but requires the image to be an external image. That patch is not supported though.

Check the documentation of that plugin. It's a patch and therefore all questions regarding it should go to the patch author.

It could also have bee "why album art never be supported" with a missed keystroke, which could show a misunderstanding of the situation.

It's important to ask what text that doesn't make sense as it's written is, sometimes people can be much more offended by you assuming they said something than simply asking them to clarify. "Obvious" doesn't always mean "Right"

Well, I'm not a native speaker. Still, I was wondering if we was asking _if_ album art will ever be supported or _why_ it would never be supported. I didn't say it would never be supported, I just pointed out that there is a (unsupported) patch that enables album art.

Besides, in order to give appropriate answers I require anybody to give exact questions. Which wasn't the case for this question. Also, a bit of searching around (which the forum rules in fact _require_ everyone to do _first_) would have revealed the answer to the OP.

Not in the wps, but there is a full featured (including editing) lyrics plugin.

Not officially, however there is  an unofficial patch.

Just embed it for the OF and use an external image for Rockbox.
